Libyan Voices is a project that aims to support the culture of elections in Libya and enhance the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. As well as encouraging citizen participation and turnout as voters to consolidate democratic values.
The Possible Awareness and Information Organization is working in partnership with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) to implement this project with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The project aims to achieve multiple activities, including training a group of civil society organizations on long-term monitoring, To assist in the upcoming municipal elections, These organizations will train and equip at least 700 observers specialized in long-term monitoring to cover 18 municipalities distributed on the map of Libya (east, west, and south) in the electoral process related to the municipal elections.
The project activities also include launching awareness campaigns and producing educational materials that help voters gain a more comprehensive understanding of the aspects and dimensions of the elections, as well as the responsibilities that fall on them. In addition to preparing online training courses that contribute to preparing observers and providing them with the necessary knowledge to ensure maximum access and participation.
